Short-Term Running Goals:

Run on trails as much as I can.

Not get injured and stay consistent with my training.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Complete a 50 and 100 mile ultra.

Qualify for Boston... missed it by 8 seconds previously

Run one of those rediculously aided Utah half-marathons helter skelter down a canyon and get a PR.

Personal:

Married with three boys. Ran the Odgen Marathon in honor of my mother, a marathoner, who passed away from cancer and it just had continued from there. Grew up in a running family and have fallen in love with running, especially on trails.

Started at the mouth of Monroe Canyon, went off trail to begin and crossed the creek and climbed up the south side.  Hit the canal trail on the way back, then finished my miles by running up the canyon to Monrovian then back to the vehicle.

Woke up at 4am and hit the dirt leading towards Poverty Flats from Bishops.  Didn't get a run in yesterday so had to make sure I got it in today.

Ran up the snow covered dirt road from the Sheriff's Office up to the turn off to 6 Mile Canyon.  Good climbing mixed in.

Woke up to around an inch or two of snow.  I was planning on running on roads, but don't like to hit pavement when it is icy/snow covered.  Took the dog and went to the dirt road leading past the dairy into Poverty and ran there.  5 mile out then back.  AP 8:50

Went and ran on the paved path that runs through the county.  My left achilles has been bothering me for the past year or so.  I was going to run 13, but it didn't get warmed up at all so I turned around at five and headed back.  I ordered some cushoned shoes when I got back as I feel I need more protection than my minimal road shoes when I run on pavement.  AP 8:37
