Not get injured and stay consistent with my training.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Complete a 50 and 100 mile ultra.

Qualify for Boston... missed it by 8 seconds previously

Run one of those rediculously aided Utah half-marathons helter skelter down a canyon and get a PR.

Personal:

Married with three boys. Ran the Odgen Marathon in honor of my mother, a marathoner, who passed away from cancer and it just had continued from there. Grew up in a running family and have fallen in love with running, especially on trails.

It was too icy this morning to run on the roads so I waited until Lunch. I was losing motivation quick watching the snow all day. Finally regrouped and headed to Liberty Park for a solo run. Just 3 miles as I am trying to recover from a recent injury.  I didn't feel half bad today, for sure I have a ways to go but some improvement.  Finished the 3 miles in exactly 24 minutes.  I ams so tempted to push it and it is killing me to see all these great runners getting together for long runs on the weekend.  Hopefully I can rebound quickly and not lose too much fitness or motivation.

Went with a group of guys from work to Liberty Park. Today was a day when I was actually feeling ok, hopefully I have turned the corner. Of course it was only three miles and not even marathon pace but still I'm optimistic. 1st lap with the guys 7:35, 2nd 7:09, AO 7:21

Decided to go for a further run this morning to check my progress from a recent injury set-back. Didn't feel too bad, kept the pace pretty steady about 8:05-8:10.  Picked up the pace the last mile to see how it felt.  Form was out of wack, but that was to be expected.  AP for the run 8:00 even.

Hopefully I can start training again gradually building back up my miles and in a few more weeks incorporate in some speed training.

Also trying to get my goals I want to hit for 2013 in my head.  I have been brainstorming for a while now.

Standard run this morning, started at the house, it was pretty windy at the start.  Tailwind and slightly downhill the first 3, kept the same effort on the last 3, just pace was off due to the wind.  Felt decent  7:34,7:26,7:27,7:51,7:56,7:46  P 7:40
